The Dogs of Richard Kelly Kemick

Richard Kelly Kemick is an author and poet pursuing a PhD at the University of Calgary in creative writing.

His debut collection of poetry, Caribou Run follows the Porcupine caribou herd through their annual migration, the largest overland migration in the world. The publication was named as a one of CBC’s fifteen must-read poetry collections in 2016.

He also writes a regular column for The Walrus. That's where Sweeping It under the Carpet appears. The essay features tales of the two dogs he's shared his life with:
